EHA Group has completed construction of 14 apartments on the Old Holywood Road, Holywood County Down. These apartments were handed over to Clanmil Housing Association to help with housing demand in the local area.
The team worked very conscientiously to ensure each stage of the project could be completed as smoothly and efficiently as possible. It is a very quiet neighbourhood with an older community who were initially fearful of the project. Careful planning and coordination was required and the diligence of the team paid off with completion over 7 months ahead of schedule, in July 2020.
Furthermore this was accomplished while working through the initial Covid19 lockdown in Northern Ireland, maintaining the social distancing restrictions that were in place. The team can be commended for their attentiveness and ability to adapt to this new way of working.
Prior to that, the site team joined forces with the local Men’s Shed group in Holywood to ensure that timbers are recycled and put to good use. The Holywood Men’s Shed Manager Andy presented Site Manager Ray McArdle with a recently made pallet seat, created from recycled pallets from the apartment project.
